How to care for my orchid in winter?

Orchid care does change during the winter months, here are our top 5 tips on how to look after them. Reduce watering, water only when the roots are grey and no condensation on the pots. Increase light (if possible), position in a well-lit room or window but out of direct light. Keep out of draughts, hot or cold, as this can dry out the buds. Don't put too close to heat like fires or radiators etc. Keep away from fruit bowls, some fruit release ethylene gas as they ripen which speeds flower death.
